All Souls' Day Requiem Mass

Wednesday, November 2,  6:30 pm Organ Prelude, 7:00 pm Mass

In prayer for the repose of the souls of the Faithful Departed, please join us for a Solemn Choral Requiem Mass in the setting composed by Gabriel Fauré.   We will have guest choir members from St. Matthew's Cathedral under the direction of Mr. Keith Franks. Our soloist will be Mr. Daniel Long, bass and Master Will Grogan, boy soprano. Mr. John George, our Parish Musician will provide organ accompaniment.

Gabriel Fauré wrote of his Requiem, "Everything I managed to entertain in the way of religious illusion I put into my Requiem, which moreover is dominated from beginning to end by a very human feeling of faith in eternal rest."
